DRIP-FED Texas Punk
Presented by Psyko Steve at Walter studios Phoenix 1APR26
Austin Texas powerhouse Drip-Fed suffered no fools on April 1st at Walter Studios in Phoenix Az. They performed an explosive hardcore set made all the more impressive with their front man Jeffery Blum in a leg cast with a giant boot on it which did not stop him from slamming around the stage on his good foot!
I had the opportunity to photograph this leg of DF tour with White Reaper and Drug Church. They made fast fans in PHX with their metal sound yet very sincere powerful lyrics.
On the last song bassist Nathan Helton took over to deliver “Leash”.
“No slack to roam.
Throw up old bones.
No water in the well.
Down there I’ll never tell.
Try to outrun yourself.
be matched stride for stride when you’re fighting it inside.
Will the new stint hold?
Will the meds kick in?
How deep is one breath?
Because I want the dam open.”
John Nichols and Chris Stiles had commanding, really focused guitar performances. And drummer Colton Siegmund delivered the high octane beat with both genuine smiles and fierce faces. Drummers are so much fun to photograph! But if they spot the camera pointed at them they get real dramatic hahaha.
This was an amazing performance, hard to follow, the crowd was hyped and ready for more. I also loved seeing the band gather side stage to watch other bands- you can tell they support each other and love what they do. That kind of talent and respect is an awesome combo in music!
Drip-Fed has new vinyl out, their third LP: “Sold for Parts” on @head2wallrecords and @i.corrupt.records
